THE "EASY" WAY

WHY DO THINGS THE HARD WAY, WHEN AN EASIER WAY EXISTS?

Because the easy way of doing business in the world of fashion is merely easy for the few- the owners and executives, the global minority enjoying the cheap prices of conventional production. But it's hard on the many-those working in unsafe conditions, those living in environments destroyed by over-farming and waste. And in truth, it's ultimately hard on all of us, living in a rapidly warming world, coated in microplastic waste.

DID YOU KNOW?

The fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world, responsible for up to 10% of global carbon emissions - equivalent to the greenhouse gas emissions of France, Germany, and the United Kingdom combined.
Fashion is also responsible for 20% of the wastewater and 35% of global microplastic pollution.

SUSTAINABILITY AS A SYSTEM

SO WHAT DOES THE HARD WAY LOOK LIKE?

Savannah Morrow understood from the outset that true sustainability is a holistic system. Not just recyclable packaging or carbon offsets or one “green” collection. Foundationally, holistically, comprehensively, Savannah Morrow is a sustainable business. From the fabrics we use, to the
partners we collaborate with, from conception to packaging to delivery to end-of-life, we work to reduce (and continue reducing) our impact at every turn— supporting not only environmental goals, but ethical goals as well.

70% of our fabric production is crafted on handlooms by local artisans in India and Peru, who honor the traditional craftsmanship and art form of fabric-making, limiting our electricity usage and pollution-while also supporting local economies, and the advancement of women and other caregivers who can work from their homes.

EVERYTHING BEGINS WITH FABRIC

THE FIBERS WHICH
MAKE UP OUR CLOTHING...

are the building blocks of the fashion industry. We knew that if we wanted to change everything, we must start at the very foundation: fabric. Mass production of fabric at ever cheaper costs has meant a tectonic shift toward plastic-based fibers such as polyester, nylon, and acrylic. Starting with our very first collection, Savannah Morrow has only ever used what we call “living fabrics”—natural materials, intentionally sourced, entirely one-of-a-kind, and grown lightly upon the earth.

TRUE PARTNERS IN OUR MISSION

FUELED BY A BELIEF IN OUR MISSION...

We work with others lit up by the same purpose.
We consider every vendor or contractor, from our copywriters to our packaging providers, our photographers to our manufacturers, to be true partners in advancing our work. We seek out those who not only understand our why, but are on their own sustainable journey. Thus aligned, we push each other further, creating the future we seek, together.

GROWING SUSTAINABLY

WE'RE HONORED TO GROW...

And to reach more and more people with our mission. And as we grow, our needs evolve. We've shifted thus far from 100% hand-loomed fabrics to 70% hand-loomed fabrics, to support our new scale. However, at every step, we pour time and effort into intentionally approaching every evolution, ensuring our new partners are truly aligned with our values -and will help us to make continual progress toward sustainable & regenerative outcomes, in every aspect of our work.
OUR PROMISE TO THE FUTURE
As we continue to grow, we will restlessly seek new and improved ways to not only reduce our impact upon the environment...but to one day help regenerate it.annah Morrow has contributed ZERO to this running total.
